JOB POSITION:  Administrative Assistant & Customer Service Support

 

LOCATION:  Stratford, CT

 

THE OPPORTUNITY & SCOPE:

The Strategies Group, LLC is looking for an energetic, teachable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant & Customer Service Support person who will be responsible for helping us implement Health Insurance solutions for multi-cultural Individuals and Organizations.  This role requires compassion, a strong work ethic, the ability to connect and engage with our clients and staff, and have a strong technology and software usage skill set.  Training and resources will be provided.  Employment contingent upon successful completion of professional reference checks and background investigation.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Shadow and train with the existing office team to learn the day-to-day workings of the office.

  • Administrative and Customer Support functions such as fielding in-bound and making out-bound calls, emailing, faxing, data entry into company’s online database, scanning and digitizing, client interface, scheduling, note-taking, running reports, etc.

  • Utilizing PCs, smart phones, software applications and databases appropriately.

  • Getting familiar with different types of insurance products and policies

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Compassionate, friendly, and willing to assist others.

  • Experience in customer service environments such as Insurance, Call Centers, Banking, Retail.

  • Energetic communication skills – phone, email, and in-person

  • Proven experience and savviness in use of technology, software platforms and social media including a proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Comfort working in a multi-cultural small office environment

  • Knowledge of Spanish and / or Portuguese a plus
